Donald Trump Administration Keeps Memecoining as Official Website Features Dogecoin Logo

Memecoins are seemingly becoming a recurring trend in the new administration of the U.S. president. This time, the oldest memecoin, Dogecoin (DOGE), got a boost as its logo was featured on the official website of one of the departments.
Doge.gov was officially registered by an employee of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. At the time of writing, the page itself only states that this is the website of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and adds that this is "an official website of the United States government." It also includes a line saying, "The people voted for major reform," and features a Dogecoin logo—an image of a Shiba Inu dog.

And that's not all, as Dogecoin symbols were hidden even in the code of the website.
As the news started circulating on the internet, the price of the DOGE cryptocurrency went almost vertical, jumping 14% in half an hour before trimming nearly half of its gains.

On his first day in office, Trump officially established the Department of Government Efficiency, tasked with "implementing the President’s DOGE Agenda by modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity."
The agenda is set for 18 months and is to be implemented by July 4, 2026.
Moreover, each agency in this administration is now required to establish its own "DOGE Team" of at least four employees.
Initially, the department was to be co-led by two bosses. However, former presidential candidate and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy decided to leave the project as he prepares to launch his gubernatorial campaign in Ohio. As a result, the world's richest person—Tesla and SpaceX boss, and Dogecoin fan—Elon Musk becomes the sole head of the department.
Musk, who was previously jokingly appointed as the CEO of Dogecoin, has already made references to Dogecoin when posting about the department on multiple occasions, for example, by using an image of a Shiba Inu.
