Leak Reveals Who Will Perform at Trump's Inauguration
As Donald Trump's second inauguration approaches on January 20, a leak reveals a list of participants for the ceremony.
Obtained by Matthew Foldi, the editor-in-chief of Washington Reporter, the photo of the program shows country music star Carrie Underwood will perform "America Is Beautiful" together with the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. The national anthem is going to be performed by Christopher D. Macchio, an American tenor.
Meanwhile, His Eminence Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, and Reverend Franklin Graham from Samaritan's Purse and The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association are going to be responsible for the invocation.
When it comes to the benediction, Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, the president of Yeshiva University, Imam Husham Al-Husainy from Karbalaa Islamic Center, Senior Pastor Lorenzo Sewell from Detroit, and Reverend Father Frank Mann from New York have made the list.
Meanwhile, Kelly Loeffler, co-chair of President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee, announced the inauguration schedule.
It begins on January 18 with a reception at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia and other receptions and dinners for the Trump team. For January 19, a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery and a MAGA "Victory Rally" in Washington are planned as well.
On Monday, January 20, the main day of the inauguration, Trump and his Vice President-elect JD Vance are expected to be sworn in at noon. Soon after, the crowd in Washington will hear the farewell of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost the presidential race to Trump last year.
Following the ceremony, the presidential parade will begin, after which an Oval Office signing ceremony is scheduled, as well as three inaugural balls, which Trump is expected to attend.
All inaugural activities should conclude on January 21 with the National Prayer Service.
Associated Press estimates that the Trump team raised more than $170 million for the upcoming inauguration.
